The IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals. The VITA program has operated for over 50 years. VITA sites offer free tax help to people who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns, including: People who generally make $64,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English-speaking taxpayers.
The Windsor Public Library will have VITA on site for appointments on Monday evenings from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, February 5 through Monday, April 15 (excluding Monday, February 19 which is President’s Day). Appointments are required. Appointments will be at 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 7:00 PM.

The Wilson Branch will have a VITA on site for appointments on select Saturdays. Those Saturdays are February 10, March 9, March 23, and March 30.
Appointments are required. Appointments will be at 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 1:00 PM. There will be three appointments per hour.
